Crashes immediately upon opening. Deleted and reinstalled but didnt fix the issue.
I dont understand why I cant login to the app to watch the watch later list? It just auto populates random videos.
Love the talks but he app has the following issues... iOS9 and iPad Pro. The longer the talk the more the audio and video get out of sync. HD downloads take forever. It isnt obvious which talks have been viewed. The delete function with the pen symbol and delete symbol next to each talk is clunky Need to be able to sort downloaded talks my way
Youd think that TED talks of all apps would be a great functioning and technologically sound app... Nope. Prepare for constant crashes, the inability for TED to run in the background while you quickly look up something on your phone, and god forbid you want to use Chromecast or Bluetooth because it can barely function playing off the phone as it is. Figure out how Netflix does it please because their app works great and yours does not.
For a platform that spreads so much knowledge, the app is absolutely horrible. Constantly crashes and I am never able to hear a full talk without having to reopen the app 5 times! Ive uninstalled it and hope that itll be improved
Ideas worth spreading
Without fail the app taunts me by opening and displaying the selection of videos, thus showing me what I cannot have as after perusing and picking one that interests me, Im left staring at my home screen, unsatisfied. Hope a fix is out soon.
Its amazing to be able to download the videos so you can watch/listen to the talks while your commuting. The talks available include a wide variety of topics.
If you have any interests at all, download the app and search for it. You wont be disappointed
Ever since a friend told me about TED talks and I downloaded the app because I am filled with curiosity, I have been dining at the most unique buffet for the mind you could ever ask for! The app is your gateway to it all. Like the talks themselves, this app gives you instant and painless access to all types of talks on just about every subject. It has some very unique, easy to use features that help you to find talks not only in areas that interest you, but that allow you experience new vistas at random, even choosing talks by how much time you have to watch one! This is my favourite app of its type. Everything about it is pleasing, both to the eye and in the ease of use it affords. The design is nicely uncluttered, approachable and the choices it gives you almost make it seem eager to please you. Id give this one 10 stars if I could! Well done folks! I wish other apps could be so well designed and executed. But now, if youll excuse me....my talks await!
All that I have to say is more featured talks please.
The App is very nice but does not allow to log in our TED account where our preferred Videos and Play lists are recorded. Same for Video and Playlists saved for future viewing. It would be very convenient if it was all tied together!
When I cast to my Chromecast, the phone volume controls dont control the volume on the TV like other Chromecast apps. Also the menu to connect and disconnect the Chromecast appear in Dutch even though the rest of the UI in the OS and app is English.
Great and hand ways to learn, but it doesnt seem to support to continue downloading the talks automatically under wifi condition, and I have no idea how to restart the download manually. So frustrated sometime.
Great stuff!!
I LOVE this app! Where else in the world can you hear the best ideas from the brightest minds, at the time and place of your choosing? And all for free! Incredibly informative and inspiring. Thank you!
The release 3.0 is worse , I have to go back to the previous one. Please fix the search functionality. Thanks
Ted talks used to be inspiring, but now its nothing more than a box liberal propaganda. Everywhere you look its just regressive left garbage on top of regressive left garbage.
The app just keeps crashing and wont allow me to listen to full episodes.
